Bob Stevens papers, 1965-1982.

Collection contains original ink drawings of Stevens' political and editorial cartoons for Copley Press Incorporated (1965-1971). This set of drawings is strongest in the areas of aviation and space flight, but contains drawings concerning automobiles and railroads as well. Collection also contains original ink drawings of Stevens' "Stop Squawk" cartoons for "Private Pilot" magazine (1975-1982). A file folder of Stevens' personal correspondence (1969-1970) is in this collection as well.

Bob Stevens (1923-1994) was an aviation and political cartoonist during the twentieth century. Stevens drew political and editorial cartoons about aviation, space flight, and other national transportation issues for newspapers owned by Copley Press Incorporated (including the "San Diego Union Tribune") during the 1960s and 1970s.
